How do I add a task with points?

  1. Tap the square Quick add button next to the tab bar and choose New task. Or open the More tab, Tasks, and tap Add task. Only parents and adults can add tasks.

  2. At the top of the form, choose Family for housework or Personal for your own task.

  3. Pick a chore in House chore. The list is grouped by room, matched to the age of whoever you pick, and searchable. Not in the list? Add it as a new chore.

  4. Under For, pick one person or several. Each person gets their own copy. Pick Up for grabs if anyone can take it.

  5. Set When and Repeats: Once, Daily, Pick days or Weekly.

  6. Tap More options for Time (optional), Reminder, Location (optional), Photo, Checklist and Size. Size sets the task's points.

  7. Tap Save. On iPhone it sits at the top right, on Android at the bottom.

How does a child mark a task done?

  1. The child opens Today. Their tasks sit under My tasks, and open tasks under Up for grabs.

  2. Tap the circle on the task row to tick it done. Tap the row itself to see the details.

  3. For an up for grabs task, tap I'll do this to claim it first.

  4. If the task needs photo proof, the camera or gallery opens before it can be ticked.

  5. The task moves to Waiting for approval until a parent decides.

How does a parent approve a task?

  1. On Today, under Waiting for approval, tap Approve or Send back. With two or more waiting, tap Approve all.

  2. Or open the More tab and tap Approvals for the full list, with any proof photos. Tap Approve or Reject.

  3. Points reach the child as soon as the task is approved. Proof photos are deleted after review.

  4. Approved by mistake? Open the menu on the task row and choose Untick. The task's points are taken back.

Photo proof needs switching on first: Family settings, Modules, Photo proof. Then turn on Needs photo proof on the tasks you choose.
