Get started with UrusFamily and invite your family
Install UrusFamily, choose Create account and sign up with an email and password. Read the privacy summary, tick I agree and tap Continue. Fill in Family name and Your name, then tap Create family. To invite your spouse, open the Family tab, tap Invite a member and share the six-character code.
How do I create an account and a family?
Download UrusFamily from the App Store or Google Play and open it. Tap the language button at the top right to switch between Bahasa Melayu and English.
Choose Create account, fill in Email and Password (at least 8 characters), then tap Create account. If a Continue with Google button shows, you can use your Google account instead.
On Your family's privacy, read the five short points about your family's data, tick I agree and tap Continue.
On Create family, fill in Family name (for example The Aziz family) and Your name (for example Dad), then tap Create family.
What does setup ask?
The person who creates the family goes through a few short steps. Every step can be skipped with Skip at the top right.
About you: pick an avatar and, if you like, your Daily target of points. Tap Next.
What do you want to manage?: choose Have kids or Not yet, then tick the areas your family uses, such as Chores and points or Kitchen and shopping. You can turn on the rest later in Family settings, Modules.
Add your kids: fill in each child's name, birthday and avatar. See how to add a child.
Pick your first chores: five chores are picked for you. Tap to add or remove, then tap the Add button that shows how many chores.
Invite family members: tap Show the invite code to invite your spouse now, or tap Next.
On Your family is ready, tap Go to Today.

How do I invite my spouse or another member?
Open the Family tab and tap Invite a member. You can also go to More, Family settings, Members. Only parents and adults can invite.
Under Invite as, pick the person's role. The table below explains each one.
Tap Share invite to send the link and code by WhatsApp or another app, or tap Copy. Someone next to you can scan the QR code on your screen.
The code shows Valid 48 hours for a Parent and Valid 7 days for every other role. Each code works once.

Role descriptions as written in the app. Only a parent can invite a house helper.
What does the invited person do?
Open the invite link or scan the QR code. If UrusFamily is installed, the app opens. If not, the web page shows the invite code.
Install UrusFamily, create their own account and agree to the privacy summary.
On the family screen, choose Join. Fill in Invite code (it is already filled in when they came from the link) and Your name.
Tap Join. Invited members go straight into the family without the setup steps.
Already in a family? Parents, adults and extended family can tap Join another family in the More tab. Your current family stays.
Questions
How long is an UrusFamily invite code valid?
A code for the Parent role is valid for 48 hours. Codes for Adult, Teen, Extended family and House helper are valid for 7 days. Each code works once, and opening the invite sheet again shows the same code until it expires.
Does every family member need their own account?
No. Young children use a kid profile with a PIN on a parent's phone, with no email or account. Only adults and teens with their own phone need to create an account.
What is the difference between Parent and Adult?
Both can add tasks, approve chores and manage the calendar. A few things are for parents only, such as creating rewards and inviting a house helper. The family owner is always a parent.
Can I skip setup and do it later?
Yes. Tap Skip on any step. Add children later from the Family tab, tasks from Quick add, and turn on other areas in Family settings, Modules.
